Enjoyed the stay because of the location and the trails around.

Great location. Lobby with a great view

The hotel needs a bit more upkeep. It was showing the signs of age and pandemic after effects. For example, the hammock in our balcony was frayed and sagging. A couple of supporting cords were broken. I was not comfortable about laying on it.

Nice stay but a few days is enough.

It has a nice pool area, the views are beautiful and amazing wildlife in the area. I would recommend going to the discovery centre nearby. You can walk there.

As a solo traveller with no car, it is a little isolating and very expensive for taxis as there is limited transport nearby and no Ubers. I managed to a share a taxi back into town after my stay with other people and it still cost us $90. The food isn’t the best and on the way more expensive side. The air con is VERY loud.

The amazing viens, the enviroment. It is mágica! The swimmingpool is great. The staff is nice.

The food is not good and there are not other options around.

Wonderful

Really fun place to take kids. It was a $30-40 Uber from Panama City. There is a lot to do here. The tours cost extra but we all liked the Aerial tram and Gatun monkey boat tour best. The free night safari was short but fun. Overall we saw lots of monkeys. caipybara, caiman and birds. The pool is relaxed and the buffet meals had something for everyone.

It's a little dated as a lot of people mentioned before but much better than we expected. The grounds and plants are beautiful so we didn't care about a little rust. It was an expensive weekend. I wish the tours had better "kid rates". Kids over 11 pay adult prices for tours and buffets. There are 4 people in our family. The family tour package costs $190 covering 2 kids, 2 adults but we had to pay for the family package plus an extra "adult" package because one of my children is 13.

A fairly good stay overall

Breakfast buffet was good. Pool was very large and beautiful. Staff was very pleasant. Enjoyed monkey island boat ride and aerial cable car.

Dinner buffet was not good quality. Hiking trails were closed when we were initially told they were open. Texas barbeque restaurant stopped serving early when we were told they would be open until 4pm. We were there by 3:15.

Very nice stay

Beautiful location in the gamboa rainforest. Stunning views from the balcony and very peaceful listening to the birds and other animals in the morning. The room was spacious and beds were very comfortable. The pool area was great.

We found the tours to be quite expensive.

Excellent choice

Beautiful hotel, location in the forest, utstanding view, equipment, helpful personnel (the majority) 70 m long swimming pool, cleanliness, various facilities, excursions in the immediate vicinity

1) No safe wifi, exposing customers to hackers and limiting access to sites equiped with an alert sysþem (we were proposed upon arrival by the reception a safe wifi at 80$ per day), 2) very nice short excursions but the hotel does not organize long excursions in the Soberania national Park (which is not far) 3) a little part of the personnel ismade of lazy bones

Beautiful and relaxing location

Amazing rainforest views and relaxing location. They offer wonderful tours. Comfortable rooms with a hammock on the balcony to relax. So peaceful.

What was a real nuisance is thé incredible loud music at the pool area and bar while guests como for nature

The location and the property beautiful old design hotel, the activities are a bit of a tourist trap and over charged

Gamboa RR is is a really nice way to experience the rainforest and natural beauty of the area

This location is breathtaking and worth it for the view and available hiking directly behind the property. We saw wild toucans, monkeys (a mother w/baby) in the trees, parakeets, and a caiman. The property reminds me of something you'd experience on a trip to Africa. Bring your binoculars! The tours they offer are pricey and not always available but the convenience of being able to book all of your excursions and transportation right in the lobby allows you to relax and enjoy it all. We did the Habitat tour and the boat trip. Both very cool. Get your breakfast included. It's good and there aren't good alternatives. The staff is really great and helpful. Be sure to check out the library too. The rooms are spacious with amazing balconies with hammocks to relax on and watch the birds. Best shower in Panama with excellent pressure.

The booking of the excursions could be better organized. The signs above with options/pricing didn't always reflect reality. Meeting in the lobby before leaving for excursions was also unnecessarily confusing. Just stagger the times.

Oasis with great views

Great view, great location. Hammock was a plus and the AC and dehumidifier worked well.

Staff a bit inattentive, food quality in the restaurants has to be improved.

Location is really great in a virgin forrest...not so easy find a hotel in same position

The hotel is old , and not so clean, in the room and in all spaces...i can isndestaind its no easy the maintenance in a forrest...but And finale i booked a river wiew room but from first floor i saw a big three...:)

Acceptable but overpriced.

The location, the pool area and breakfast.

Some of the staff at the activities desk were "burnt out" and not so friendly. I had to complain to get proper help despite speaking their language. Weak and few lights/lamps in the room, hard to read or see at night. Only one chair in terrace. Poor Meal options: only buffet or fast food at the bar, missing local food or healthier options. All in all, good location but overpriced for what you get.
