rust in the shower, no place to hang hand towel, needs smart tv to watch netflix or youtube, cable has few channels.

Would love to return AND bring the grands

Amazing view of the chagas river. Nice patio off the room. Black out curtains. Quality linens on bed. Nice thick towels. Comfy bed. The sloth exhibit was really good. We came during the quiet time. The menu in the restaurant was limited but good food each meal delightful pool - was perfect on a hot day. the night tour was fun. The shower was wonderful. Lots of hot water and no alteration in template. Beautiful resort. Spotlessly clean. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The room AC wouldn’t go below 24C. Even after asking the front desk to fix it. So made for sweaty nights. And the food at the monkey bar wasn’t edible ????

Great place but way overpriced!

The property was beautiful!

Everything is SO expensive. The breakfast is $24 and dinner is $30, no way we ate that much in food. And it’s the only option for breakfast. The excursions are also very pricy! The best was the zip lining for $55 per person.

Beautiful location and wonderful staff

Lovely set up, amazing views and the staff is really knowledgeable of the fauna and flora of the area.

It’s a beautiful property but it might need a few upgrades.

Expensive but still the best option and definitely worth visiting

Great location and overall experience, the resort complex itself is large and can be used for bird watching; kids loved the pool

Accommodation a bit overpriced, buffet breakfast and dinner significantly overpriced (they have a monopoly and they know it); tours and experiences on campus too expensive.

Hidden Gem close to Panama City

The staff are amazing and super friendly. They never complain and always try to accommodate you. Some of the best staff I encountered

Bad Administration Things are not clear and need to be explained better. For example: The person that was at the tours desk remembered us and all but we weren't briefed well on how to attend the tours Seems the biggest problem is that the place is clearly understaffed

Rainforest Retreat

The most unbelievable location. Simply stunning rainforest all around and an incredibly designed hotel. Wildlife awesome, pool brilliant with a decent smaller kids area

Emphasis seemed to be maximum profit and signing people up for tours with minimal focus on ecology/wildlife in surroundings. Night drive involved driving round the abandoned American houses watching a caymen be fed a sandwich and the guide shaking a frog so it wouldnt escape whilst he put it on the bus. Staff at hotel perfectly pleasant but no real interest in nature, no maps of trails, no posters/info on birds in the area. Staff not overly helpful when asked anything. Seems for somewhere so amazingly located they've missed a trick in being able to properly facilitate enjoyment if the local wildlife. The cable car is amazing, so is the observation tower but you are told you have 15 mins at the top there are no guides anywhere pointing out anything. Definitely not the same emphasis on environment/conservation as other rainforest locations.

We had a lovely 3day escape from the city. Would recommend to friends and family.

The pool was great, the buffet was nice and lots of options. The location was lovely and easy to get to by car (and also for others by shuttle). The tours offered were great and the staff/guides were friendly and knowledgeable.

We were a bit disappointed that the service at the pool stopped at 5pm and that the convention took over the only other bar on the property for 2 of our three nights. Also the toilets for the pool need to be better signed as I had trouble finding them on the first day.

The location, contact with nature, very large room, bathtub, good bed.

We had a problem with our door, the key cards kept failing to open it, turns out it was running out of battery, it was a major inconvenience since we were locked out 3 times, please fix that.

Great for nature and the rain forest - disappointing staff

Great property and splendid location - absolutely stunning building and pool deck with magnificent views on Gamboa and the river - great rooms and huge beds. Nice hall, free on-site safari, and good on-site tours.

Staff is not trained for international hospitality at all. Weird questions, impolite and at times rude answers, ignorant and self-centered behavior. Training is necessary so that foreign guests aren’t perceived as burden. Staff is not educated on the history of this property and has no understanding of the historic value of the building, its surroundings and special places like the old library and what they mean to former residents.

Great location, super clean, pool, free safari and grounds excellent

Breakfast great. Pool fabulous. Rooms very clean and bug free, which is surprising given the location. Free nighttime safari excellent!

Pool bed cushion were left out during a storm and all night and consequently were still unpleasantly wet the following day. Adjoing room doors not insulated so you can hear every thing from the occupant next door. Cafe bar - needs to change its menu, it’s been the same for years and if you stay several days, very repetitive.
